July, 2003:
This trip was a long time ago, so we are just going to quickly highlight the sites we saw in Paris, France in 2003 with our daughter, Sybil and son-in-law Brian.
Our accommodation was close to the Notre Dame Cathedral in 2003 (the ÃŽle St. Louis), so let’s start with pictures of the cathedral.
Notre Dame Cathedral
We followed our visit to Notre Dame Cathedral with a visit to Sainte-Chapelle. Sainte-Chapelle is a royal chapel in the Gothic style, within the medieval Palais de la Cité, the residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century, on the Île de la Cité in the River Seine in Paris, France. Construction began sometime after 1238 and the chapel was consecrated on April 26, 1248.

We also visited the Louvre Museum in Paris and marvelled at the Mona Lisa…

We wandered around Paris to see multiple sites, including the Eiffel Tower.

We also visited the Basilica of Sacré Coeur de Montmartre, commonly known as Sacré-Cœur Basilica and often simply Sacré-Cœur, is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica in Paris dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
