This part of our trip to Greece was primarily in the Peloponnese Region, but also included Ancient Delphi in Central Greece.

Located between Mycenae and Nafplio is this trojan horse (and bakery).
Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus:
The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus is regarded as the best preserved ancient theatre in Greece in terms of its perfect acoustics and fine structure. It was constructed in the late 4th century BC and it was finalized in two stages.

Fortress of Palamidi:
Palamidi is a fortress to the east of the Acronauplia in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Nestled on the crest of a 216-metre high hill, the fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area.

Mystras or Mistras, also known in the Chronicle of the Morea as Myzethras or Myzithras, is a fortified town and a former municipality in Laconia, Peloponnese, Greece.

That there are so many churches points to the importance of Mystras as the Byzantine ecclesiastical and political center during the 14th and 15th centuries.

The 35 rows of the theatre could seat nearly 5000 people.

Ancient Stadium of Delphi:
The Stadium of Delphi lies on the highest spot of the Archaeological Site of Delphi. It overlooks the sanctuary of Apollo and has a view to the Delphic landscape. It was built either within the second half of the 4th century B.C. or even after the Galatian attacks.
